About Kevin
I was born in London. I spent twenty five excellent years with Thames Valley Police working on some exciting departments. It was a career I really enjoyed. I was already involved in outdoor sports, cycling for a club, mountaineering, so when I decided I wanted a new direction, guiding seemed an obvious choice. I now work freelance as a trekking and expedition guide, as well as some corporate work for different companies.
I hold a number of outdoor qualifications such as the International Mountain Leader Award UIMLA, and the Winter Mountain Leader Award. I run my own company. I live in France.
I started writing about ten years ago with a few pieces being published in outdoor magazines. This encouraged me to take part in a couple of creative writing courses, to join a writing group in France, and to write about my travels while working as a guide. My debut young adult novel, Stone Child, was an idea that just wouldn't go away.
My next venture is running snowshoeing holidays in the French Pyrenees.
